The Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center preserves and promotes the historical, natural and cultural resources and activities that tell the story of the past and present an identity for the future.

Discover The Visitor Center
The Visitor Center is your gateway to the city for residents and visitors alike. Make this your first stop! It's conveniently located on Broadway in downtown Saratoga Springs, The Visitor Center is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm except for December through March, when it is closed on Sundays.
The first stop to exploring Saratoga Springs is at the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitors Center. There are plenty of brochures and information about the region and knowledgeable staff to answer questions. But the Visitors Center holds much more than brochures! It also offers an orientation video and exhibits that explore the history of Saratoga Springs, a gift shop and much more. Tours and special events are scheduled throughout the year.
The Saratoga Springs Visitors Center in downtown Saratoga Springs provides insight concerning the city's unique history together with current perspectives on the "Spa City" with information, displays, and educational programs. Established in 1992 in what was once a trolley station, the Visitor Center serves over 30,000 visitors every year. It's the best source of tourist information in Saratoga Springs!

--· "Discover Saratoga"...a wonderful 15 minute video on the places, people, and history of Saratoga Springs.

--· Gallery space for work by contemporary artists with new exhibits on a regular basis.
--· A gift shop.
--· A beautiful garden, maintained by dedicated volunteers.
--· A shaded outdoor picnic area with picnic tables that can accomodate large groups
--· Clean, spacious restrooms.
--· Tours, including self-guided tours.
--· Educational programs at the Visitor Center and in the community.
Facilities Rental at the Visitor Center
In addition, the Visitor Center features a spacious, beautiful room with an adjoining kitchen area that is available for meetings and receptions. Once a trolley diner, this Beaux Art style room can accomodate formal and informal events. For information, call 518-587-3241.
Congress Park Information Booth
During the summer tourist season, an information booth serves visitors across Broadway from the Visitor Center, conveniently located near Congress Park and the bus stop for the local bus service.

At the Visitor Center, you'll find information, together with opportunities for discovery and for sharing in celebrations and activities that enhance community bonds within the city.
The goal of the Saratoga Springs Visitor Center is to inspire people of all ages to understand and appreciate the city's historical and cultural heritage, and to enjoy the city's present day wealth of beauty, culture, entertainment, and opportunity. The Visitor Center seeks to promote historical and cultural understanding and a present day sense of community, based upon the city's heritage.

Find information about travel and community resources. The Saratoga Visitor Center offers wonderful FREE information on Saratoga Springs attractions, restaurants, accomodations, architecture, horse racing, recreation, and self-guided tours...At the Visitor Center, you will find free maps and brochures of:
Historic Congress Park, North Broadway Mansions, Saratoga Historic Districts, Saratoga's Famous Mineral Springs, Downtown Shopping, and more.
Discovery:
Discover the city's heritage through exhibits and educational programs. Find out about horse racing, gambling, and the invention of the potato chip in Saratoga Springs! Visitor Center tours are available by reservation for school and tour groups. And the Visitor Center has an extensive educational program, including a series of brownbag lunches throughout the year featuring presentations on the history of Saratoga Springs and the surrounding region.
Celebration:
Celebrate festivals and special events. The Visitor Center sponsors community events throughout the year, including the Fall Festival, Chowderfest, Winterfest, Solomon Northrup Day, concerts in Congress Park, and much more.
Community:
Embrace a sense of community by joining friends, family, and others who share an enthusiasm for Saratoga Springs' special cultural and and historical heritage. The Visitor Center partners with community organizations and businesses to sponsor community events.
